Norman Solomon recently appeared on C-SPAN to discuss his recent fact-finding trip to Afghanistan, of which he has written about for Guernica, here and here. Solomon said of the war in Afghanistan: “I’m saying that this is a misbegotten war based on false premises. This is a war that we are told is to stop Al-Qaeda, and yet Al-Qaeda, all experts acknowledge are not even in Afghanistan. We are told this war must be fought.”
