Samia Mehraj

Samia Mehraj is a poet and short-fiction writer from Kashmir. She is working on a collection of stories set in Kashmir that navigate themes of belonging, memory, ecology, and the tensions between personal and collective identities. She is a member of the inaugural batch of South Asia Speaks Fellowship Programme for emerging writers. Samia is also a graduate of the University of Oxford, where she was a Kofi Annan-WH Scholar, and where she now works to facilitate climate and nature-related research.
