Judy Doenges was born in Elmhurst, Illinois. She is the author of a novel, The Most Beautiful Girl in the World, and a short fiction collection, What She Left Me,
which was a New York Times Book Review Notable Book. Her stories have been published in The Georgia Review, The Kenyon Review, Nimrod, Green Mountains Review, and in several anthologies. She is the winner of a PEN/O. Henry Award.
