Amanda Montei is the author, most recently, of Touched Out: Motherhood, Misogyny, Consent, and Control. Her work has been featured in The New York Times, The Guardian, The Cut, The Meteor, The Believer, Elle, Vox, Slate, HuffPost, and Ms. Magazine, among many others, as well as on the Poetry Foundation’s website. She has a PhD from SUNY at Buffalo and an MFA from the California Institute of the Arts. She currently teaches at Cal State East Bay and for many national creative writing organizations.
